I truly believe we are at a point in history where behavioral change on a national and global scale is possible. Instead of just looking at people as individuals, let's shift our focus for a moment to the broader world and take a structural point of view. Please stay with me while I explain what I mean.
If enough people in a social context have bought into an ideology, it develops into a collective mindset that shapes people's behavior, which in turn creates a culture and the accepted way of life. The prevailing culture in a region is a reflection of the commonly held set of ideas.
Unknowingly, the majority of us may have bought into a vision of society that is unjust by accepting misleading ideologies that were disseminated in society to influence public perception.
The way to deal with a flawed ideological structure rooted in deception, (or what I call a corporate stronghold) is to shift the mindsets of the people collectively by widely disseminating a counter-ideology. This is what I mean by attacking social injustice at a systemic level.
As Michael Pollan argued, "a reigning ideology is a little like the weather:all pervasive and virtually inescapable."
Acts.19.20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.
