LET'S SETTLE THIS AFRICAN LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE, ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Poor governance in Africa is a symptom of a greater issue.  It is an expression of a mindset that resulted from a belief system brought about by the perpetuation of falsified information. What we establish as our belief system is based on the information we have received and this affects the way we behave in relation to the world and people.

If a person is  driven by the desire to amass a fortune and has such an obsession with power and recognition, we can usually predict what they will do just to get to the top.

In business context, a person's reason for being there will determine the manner in which they build and run their business. Overproduction has lead to  exploitative labour practices that  result in negative impacts on societies, by people driven by greed, prioritizing their own wealth over the growth and well-being of others.

God put human beings on earth to manage and conserve its resources, not to deplete them. Our businesses therefore ought to be contributing and giving more than they are taking from communities and ecosystems. Understanding this paradigm will help us exemplify a human-centric leadership approach, where we bring purpose to the forefront of our business and begin to build meaningful structures that  help communties deal with their circumstances.
